Our Journey

Why We Started

We noticed something missing in Ireland’s cultural landscape. Quality live music was becoming harder to find. Venues were closing. Genuine community events were disappearing.

Selvatrix Ltd was born from frustration, honestly. Our founders—experienced musicians and event organizers—watched their favorite venues shut down. They saw talented performers struggling to find stages. And they realized something crucial: people over 40 weren’t being served. The industry had forgotten about us.

So we decided to fix it. We started small—one swing dance evening in Dublin in 2019. Fifty people showed up. The energy was electric. Within months, we were organizing blues nights, folk acoustic sessions, and chamber orchestra performances. Today, we’re running events across Ireland, and we’ve created something that didn’t exist before: a vibrant community where serious musicians perform and engaged listeners actually show up.

We’re not here to compete with massive festival circuits. We’re here to curate intimate, high-quality musical experiences. That’s what we do. That’s what we’ll keep doing.
